MIEA Board of Directors Nomination Form

The Board of Directors shall be composed of members elected at-large from the association’s membership at the annual conference.

  1. Nomination forms for positions on the Board of Directors shall be sent out.
  2. Only association members may nominate to the Board of Directors.
  3. Each nomination must be accompanied by a biographical sketch of the nominee.
  4. The list of nominations shall be compiled and presented at the annual convention.

 According to our By-laws, Section D-8, “Offices shall be declared vacant if the officers or other members of the Board of Directors miss three (3) consecutive meetings during the year. Notification of absence shall be given in writing or by telephone to the Chairperson or the Secretary. Post-Secondary students are excused when a class conflict exists.

There are (4) full day quarterly meetings per year across the State of Minnesota;  we  have a phone conference on most  other months. Plan on Strategic Planning in 2018-2019 which usually requires a weekend day and a regular workday. These meeting are planned with the BOD in advance recognizing calendars.
